Spring Dock Launching in Somers, MT
When the ice is off and the lake is coming up, we put docks back in across Northwest Montana.
Your Dock Back In, Ready for the Season
The first warm weekend is when everybody remembers the dock is still stacked on shore. We launch docks every spring around Somers, and the ones already on the schedule go in first.
We carry the sections back down, reconnect them the way they came apart in the fall, and set the legs for where the water actually is this year. Spring levels are rarely the same two years running, so the dock gets leveled and anchored for the lake in front of us, not the one from last June.
What a Launch Includes
Sections carried down and reconnected in the same order they came apart.
Legs set and the dock leveled for this year's water, then anchored for the season.
Lifts, ramps, ladders and bumpers reinstalled and checked.
Hardware tightened as we go, and anything worn gets pointed out before it becomes a problem.
When Docks Go In
April into May for most of our lakes, depending on ice-out and how fast the runoff comes up. Book early. The first warm weekend is when everyone calls at once, and the schedule is usually full by then.
Book the Whole Year at Once
Most of our customers book both ends: out in the fall before the ice, back in come spring, inspected both times. One call and the dock is handled for the year.
Frequently Asked Questions
When can my dock go in?
Once the ice is off and the water is stable enough to set it, usually April into May depending on the lake and the runoff.
Do you launch docks you did not build?
Yes. We work on most aluminum dock systems. Send a couple of photos first so we bring the right equipment.
Will you fix problems you find?
We point them out and quote the fix. Small things we can usually handle on the spot.
Do you also pull it out in the fall?
Yes. That is fall dock removal, and you can book both at once.
What does it cost?
It depends on the size, the number of sections and the access. Call (406) 210-6218 and we can usually quote it over the phone.
