A Family-Run Dock and Deck Builder in Somers, MT
Montana Legacy Aluminum Dock and Deck is a family business based in Somers. We build aluminum docks and composite decks for lake homes across Northwest Montana, and we look after them once they are in: repairs, fall removal, spring launching.
We have been working on this water for 20 years. We know what wind, ice and the summer drawdown do to a wood dock, which is why we frame in aluminum and deck in composite. It costs a little more up front and saves you most of your weekends after that.
When you call, you talk to the people who will build your dock. We look at your shoreline with you, help with the permit, give you a straight answer on cost and timing, and show up when we said we would.
Most of what we build has more than one section: boat slips, swim platforms, sitting areas, lifts. We have built docks for pontoons, ski boats and a seaplane. Tell us how your family uses the lake and we will draw it that way.
We work with homeowners around Somers, Kalispell, Whitefish, Bigfork, Lakeside and the lakes in between.

Our Values
You'll Know What's Happening
One point of contact, from the first phone call to the last walk-through. You will know when we are coming, what we are doing that day, and what is left to do.
Dock projects involve permits, shoreline rules and a weather window, so plans move sometimes. When they do you get a call, not a surprise.
Built to Be Left Alone
Docks and decks here live in water, snow and sun. Wood rots, warps and needs sanding and staining every couple of years. Aluminum framing does not rot or rust, and composite decking holds its color without a yearly coat.
We size every frame, leg and connection for your water depth, how far the lake drops through the summer, and where the wind hits your shoreline. The dock we put in should still feel solid years from now.
Designed for Your Property
No two lake lots are the same. Water depth, how far the water drops by August, where you get down to the shore, what you tie up: all of it changes the design.
So we start by walking your shoreline with you and asking how your family uses the lake. Then we draw the dock around the answers, and we handle the permit paperwork and the scheduling so you do not have to.
