Dock Builder in Lakeside, MT

We build and service aluminum docks for homes along the west shore. Lakeside is about ten minutes up Highway 93 from our shop in Somers, so it is one of the closest places we work.

What We Build Along the West Shore

Most of what we do in Lakeside is custom aluminum dock, either a new build or replacing a wood dock that has reached the end of its life. We also do boat lifts, ramps and gangways, swim platforms, and the railings and benches that go with them.

If your place is set back from the water, the deck and the path down to the dock usually matter as much as the dock itself. We build those too, and it is easier when the same crew handles both ends.

Steep Lots and Deep Water

The west shore drops off fast. On a lot of Lakeside properties the water is deep within a few feet of the bank, which works in your favor: you do not need a long dock to reach usable depth. What you do need is anchoring that holds in rock, and a dock that handles the chop when the wind comes across the lake from the east.

The other west shore reality is the bank itself. Boulders and shale instead of sand. We set footings and anchors to suit what is actually there rather than fighting it.

Fall Removal and Spring Launch

A lot of Lakeside places are seasonal, and the owner is often not in town when the ice comes. We handle the whole cycle: pull the dock and lift in the fall, store the sections up the bank, and set everything back in the spring before you arrive. You do not need to be here for either one.

Booking both ends at once is the easiest way to do it. We put you on the list and you stop thinking about it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon can you get to Lakeside?

Quickly. We are eight miles down the road in Somers and on the west shore most weeks, so a look at your dock is easy to fit in.

My lot is steep. Can you still get equipment down to the water?

Usually yes. Aluminum sections are light enough to carry down by hand where a machine will not fit, which is one reason aluminum works so well on this shore.

Can you replace my old wood dock with aluminum?

Yes, and it is a common job here. We take the old dock out, deal with the footings, and set the new system in the same spot.

Do you work on docks you did not build?

Yes. Most aluminum systems. Send a couple of photos and we will tell you what we are looking at, or see our dock repair page.
